Whose page is this, you ask?

Embracing the young and fun, I am a recent Master’s of Library and Information Science graduate with a specialization in children’s and youth librarianship. I am pursuing opportunities to learn more about working with children and teens. This blog is dedicated to my learning and development as I read, read, read through children and youth adult materials. Employed as the Stacks Supervisor at the University Libraries at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), I work with all sorts of resources – from picture books to archival items! It’s time to start writing and sharing my reviews of these materials.

As a woman of many interests, I enjoy reading as many librarians do, finding new restaurant gems, listening to music, dancing, traveling, and spending time with my boyfriend and little dog, Ramsey.

Rating System

This blog assigns ratings to books. These ratings are given in the theme of lemons. This is similar to how reviews apply stars to different media. Books are rated from 1 to 5 lemons with 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest. Books that earn 5 lemons have earned perfect scores. These perfect scores are known as “lemonade” – the perfect blend of the right ingredients. Look for this delicious treats in the blog!
